The DeLand Paraclete XP Outdoor Championships were held March 16-18 2012 at Deland Skydive, in Sunny Central Florida. Teams from Belgium, France, Brazil, Dubai, Germany USA and Russia competed for a total of $7,000 in prize money.

Banned Best Friends
In February 2012, Tim Gill posted in his “Rethinking Childhood” blog the following:
“A school in England has recently banned children from playing hide-and-seek.
It has also banned children from writing notes to each other and
banned children from having best friends.”
SBFF - Secret Best Friend Forever - No Matter What!
These policies were designed to protect children from hurting each other, i.e. falling outs & bullying. But the social engineering with these policies may be more for protecting the schools from lawsuits and obsessive parents than for the children. Who would have thought Roger Waters a prophet of our times?

The theme for the 52nd Pentax Point and Shoot (P&S) competition is “Conflict”.
Any interpretation of “conflict” is acceptable and any point&shoot camera is allowed. The winner gets to choose the topic for next month and post the rules. Post processing for this month is allowed so I am going to take full advantage and pull out all the stops! Wooooot!

John Lennon wrote this song. As stated in the DVD Composing the Beatles Songbook, John was throwing together nonsense lyrics to mess with the heads of scholars trying to dissect The Beatles songs. They also mention that it’s John’s answer to Bob Dylan’s “getting away with murder” style of songwriting.
